Disc Pipeline Cleaning Pig can not only remove the liquid in the pipe but also remove the solid dirt. In addition, it can also install steel brushes and other accessories as required to enhance the pigging effect. This product has a long service life. Generally, its running distance is 800 ~ 1000 km. But the drawback is that its trafficability is slightly poor. Therefore, it does not apply to multiple elbows, valves, and pipelines with large deformation. Mechanical pigs used in pipelines are mainly cup pigs and two-way straight plate pigs. Deformation of cup pig is generally 3%~5% of pipe diameter. Its carrying capacity is better than that of the two-way straight plate pig. Because the cup pig runs in a fixed direction in the pipeline. Therefore, it is mainly used to remove the accumulated liquid, dust, and other pollutants in the pipeline.

The removal capacity of the two-way straight plate pig is better than that of the cup pig. In particular, this Disc Pipeline Cleaning Pig can effectively remove the suspended dirt in the pipeline. Compared with the cup pig, the wear is faster and the running distance is shorter. Therefore, it has better pigging efficiency in a short-distance pipeline section. Pig selection is a multi-objective and multi-factor decision-making problem. The user shall mainly determine the mechanical strength, wear resistance, adsorption, the reactivity of the transmission medium in the pipeline, and the carrying capacity of the pig, as follows:

• Pigging target. Is the pipeline cleaning liquid or solid impurities and dirt
• Use the degree of the pipeline. The aging degree and service life of the pipeline determine the characteristics of pigging contents.
• Pig interference. This requires the user to consider the pipe curvature and diameter.
• Pigging process. Drive pressure range value provided by the pipeline. And the running speed of the pig and the maximum running distance of the pig.
• Size of accessories for pig installation. Comprehensively consider the thickness of wax deposits in the pipeline.
